Can the busa run without the gauge pod?

One day i accidently started the busa without the guage pannel attached. it started without any issue. This got me thinking - can you run the bike without the guage pannel?

The busa is drag only and i have an auto-shift and will be installing an MSD 2-step this winter...

the only functionality that you really loose is the diagnostic error codes.
