Can These Corbin Saddlebags be Salvaged?

Buddy of mine gave me a set of Corbin 'Beetle' Saddlebags for the busa. Pretty nice I figured since they were $1k new. Until he told me he had them when his busa went down. I don't know anything about it, so I was wondering if these things can be salvaged? Can they be repaired without spending $1k+ on a new set?

From the pics, it only looks like superficial damage and an easy fix. But without being able to inspect them first hand, no telling what damage isn't showing up on the pics.

nothing wrong with them that cant be fixed easy, i would mount them and ride.

Dont listen to them. They are trashed. Send them to me, I'll dispose of them for you.

I would also be interested in the purchase if you decide to sell..

I know where there's another set but priced way to high for my low budget/broke azz..

Thanks for all the help folks. Not looking to sell, just wanted to see if they could be fixed. I have a few trips coming up and would like to put them to use.

That looks like the perfect winter project right there. As long as they don't leak I would use them this summer then get them sanded out this winter and paint them up.

definately keep them, but make sure who ever fixes them looks at the mounting points for cracks. Also the lids are prone to cracks around the lip due to repeated slamming and gasket not correctly fit.

They can be repaired to like new condition. Find a good shop in your area. Get some quotes and go from there. They're gouged and scratched, not cracked and trashed. :super:

Definite repair project. No worries, they can be fixed to look new. I have a friend that is a paint and body guy. I've seen him fix stuff in worse shape that came out looking better then it did new.

Just remember, if you take them somewhere to get fixed, you get what you pay for with paint and bodywork.

:beerchug: Congrats on getting them for such a good price.
