can u mod ur header pipe?

Has anyone taken there stock header pipe, cut, and welded the left side to make full exhaust?

You could I suppose, but the stock header would still be restrictive. Kinda defeats the purpose, at least from a power perspective. Header is where the power is made in an exhaust.
If you just want the look of a single exhaust it would work out okay.

And yes i agree the header is where the power comes from.
An open header with two cans would be better than a restricted header with one can.
