I have been considering an Ohlins shock for the rear of my gen 2. I am now considering just a coil swap if its possible. I don't really need the complex valving of a race shock... just a stiffer spring so the girlfriend can hop on the back. If its possible... where can I find a good coil spring?

yes it is possible to purchase just the spring. Give any of the suspension shops a call to find out what spring rates are available and the price. I would sugest letting them revalve your stocker since you will be making changes to the spring rate. This keeps the costs down from getting a complete replacement race shock and spring.

have you tried adjusting the preload on the factory shock? If the change you're looking for isn't drastic, it could probably be done that way.... for freeee

Race Tech has great products. My front forks have their springs in them and that was by far the best performance mod i've done to the busa so far.

Tufbusa... lmfao!!! She's actually tiny! But I'm stretched 6".. lowered 1" up front and 2" in the back

Race tech sold me an Eibach spring I believe for my BKing. It is awesome! At 320lbs I needed it. It looks like it came off the front of an F150 Ford Truck. 830 lbs per inch. The springs are different for a Busa but you get the idea, Race tech has the springs!:cheerleader: Oh, the stocker looked WIMPY by comparison. Now the suspension actually works right when I hit a bump rather than bottoming out!

Cool Beans Dude!

Well here's the easy-squeezy cheap fix for you! You ship that tiny little woman to me and you ride the a$$ off the spring you have!

GREAT deal for both of us! :cheerleader:
