Can you swap ecm out?

I have a question regarding the ecm. I'm wondering if I buy a blank ecm and get it flashed and keep my stock one stock and use the flashed one in the bike, then when it goes to the dealer switch it back to the stock could they still see it was changed or is this possible. I guess to say I'm trying to keep the warranty, trying to beat the system. Regardless I'm getting it flashed due to flashing will solve the problems the bike is having.

Yes, a friend has my stock ECU in his bike currently so he can do back to back testing BT Moto vs a few others. If i ever get it back from him Ill have a BT Moto flashed ECU and hand held for sale hahahaha

(so far BT moto is faster and quicker than CM in a 2nd gear till 195+mph comparison)

I’m interested in hearing more about the Bren vs CM comparison.
Is there a link you can provide or is this a seat of the pants thing?

Originally my bike was flashed by CM and when i called to order I asked him which stacks HE personally liked best and he told me that with the carbon smith stacks he had seen the best power/ET so that's what i ordered. Months later when BT released their stuff i knew it was aimed at the type of riding i wanted so i switched.

After some comparison doing 2nd - 4th gear pulls (40-155) the BT setup was approx .2 quicker, distance being approx the same (going off of street lights for my testing lol). A few of us have complained slightly about low rpm characteristics of the CM flash and I felt none of those with BT either.

Interesting...The Bren tune is $805 and the Moore tune is $345 so good to hear BT is better, only slightly though.

By the time you add in velocity stacks it's only a like $250 difference.

That being said the autotune in my maxxecu took almost .4 off of my Bt times and is doing it almost 200' sooner. Only 4500 for that setup!!!

I have the CM tune in the '18 Gsxr1k, with CS stacks, and as great as the tune is, the on/off throttle is choppy, and like a lightswitch.
Apparently his Gen3 tune is the same or similiar.
I would be happy to pay more for a tune that didn't do this...even though it's only setting the injectors to trickle off gradually, vs off like a switch, and a quick once and done while setting up the base tune they use.
If BT tunes don't do that, then that would be the one I picked for a street ridden bike, as it would be much smoother to cruise around on, at any speed.

Thank you, and where are y'all buying your other ECU at, are y'all just buying a blank from partzilla? I've been looking at the BT Moto flash and been considering it. I'm just indecisive on getting it flashed locally or just getting the BT Moto. I am however getting their stacks.

Of all the posts I've seen discussing doing the extra pcm thing I don't thunk I've ever seen someone actually go through with doing it. Most PCMs you buy from part places don't come loaded with a tune and getting a suzuki dealership to load a base tune is hard at best.

I went to a full standalone ecu so we have my stock one that were doing all the tuning and comparisons with

guys ?

we´re talking about swapping one ecm (itself) into another haya?

if yes ,
this only works at the gen1 ´99-´01 (16bit)
and ´02-´07 (32bit)

and

at he gen2 without immobilizer

- but as far as i understood that at gen2 ,
the ign lock and with it that the tank cap + rearseat lock need to be swapped too
(to have only one and the same key 4 the whole bike)

For non US models you may be right, here in the states we don't have the ignition immobilizer.

My original ecu is currently swapped into a different bike and is running just fine.

yeah man.

i know that
and knowing that i tried to describe the difference - so read my post above again and super carful - my english is not that well to write it 100% correct ,
that, how we here say ;) :) ,
even stonemasons could chisel it (with) while i try to describe it (in spoken words or written letters) :p :p :p :p
