Canadian Insurance Companies

Well, just a few days ago I was touting the benifits of insuring with Primmum.......

....Just got my new rate....$2500.00! Thats with full coverage (which you apparently must have this year) and on a new 2005 busa. That's for Nova Scotia, which by the way is cheaper than Ontario.

I did drop my bike a few months back and wrote it off, but they are telling me that only accounts for @300.00 of the increase.

Honestly they have been really good to deal with, but WOW what a kick in the hass.

Soooo, who are you guys with and what are you paying. I've got to go shopping.

i use state farm, they have been really good to me. my whole family is with them(mom,dad,brothers) i pay $1244 a yr $500 deductiable on collision and comp. 1mill liability

My brother just called primmum to get an identical quote. We have same driving records except for me with the accident. They want @ 2000.00 for him too...so I guess the accident hasn't hurt all that much, just the "busa..

But we all know she's worth the pain!

Im in Ontario and it went up from 1350 to 1600 full coverage for my 03 and I called them and asked why it went up (Primmum) and they said no reason except for all of the other people getting in accidents with their sportbikes. Too bad , they handled my claim really well when a lady ran a stop sign and wrote my r1 off a few years ago.
Anyways Im in the process of switching to State Farm now , and it will be going down to 1170 a year full coverage but I have to switch my other vehicles and house over , but they are still saving me money there as well. Most other places I called seemed to come out to 2500 a year and one even came to 5500 a year what a joke.

Waiting to hear back from State Farm right now with a quote.

The guy at Primmum passed me on to a manager and when he called me back they dropped the rates alot!  A little beggin' was all it took.  Now I'm at @1400.00

Now my rate is less than my brother's quote, and his record is betten than mine.  Makes you wonder what really goes on at the other end of the phone.

That being said I still think they are great to deal with.  Buddy said as long as your not ranting they will do what they can to help out.

Have to carry full coverage though, mandatory.  so I'm still looking for other places .  A few companies I called in Canada will only insure bikes in Ont.

Actually done deal now with State Farm 1070 per yr! full coverage, now im happy again.
