CANYON DANCER

I am currently using the Canyon Dancer tie-down. Anyone using another brand or other methods of tying the Busa down without contacting the fairings when trailering?

Hey there Mr. Brown!
At first I thought it was a cool idea. And it is. But, we need the end straps to be held out farther away from the fairings. We tried wrapping the excess strap around the grips and out over the top of the bars closer to the tips, but the straps really dig into, pinch and twist the grips. When used like designed, the sleeves of the dancer, under the bars, carry the load spread out along the length grip. When the tie downs pull down, the end loops and tie-down straps are a few inches in from the tips of the bars, and too close to the fairings. It's almost like the sleeves should be longer.?? It's probably a simple thing that we aren't seeing or thinking of.??
Thanks!
Mike

Here ya go. The best way to tie down the Busa. No rubbing on the fairings and the actual pull is on the center of the triple clamp, not just the bars like the canyon dancer.

I have 2 of them tie down bars another option to use with a canyon dancer involves some PVC pipe cut to the certain lenght and inserted in the places the handle bars go and you slide pvc pipe over the handle bars and you have caps and a should on the PVC pipe so that way the canyon dancer can slip in to far or loose the pipe either.

Someone awhile back had a posting about this method described it better then i did.

There is also you could use yoyo dine sliders that come with the option to hook straps to there locaiton

there is also gouing straight from the lower triple tree to the mounting area

a little pricy but the only way to trailer.

thats a nice wheel chock i use the condor one thought

cost more then the sport chock but can be used to haul any time of bike 165 there
Condor Site

That Ls Sport chock they make is about the same as the nice condor and i see is about the same money at least thats more for adjustable wheels

The Strapless Transport Stand seems like a great idea except for one minor problem that the inventors don't express in the product's write-up and description. In the case of the Busa, the cotter pin that secure the rear axle bolt would have to be removed in order to allow the rod to pass through the axle's hole. Somebody help me...

I recently started using the double-end loop straps on the ends of the Canyon Dancer and it does make all the difference in the world.

The Sportchock looks interesting.

    Thanks!
After dropping my bike in the trailer once I swore it would never happen again. These things are rock solid. All you do is ride into them and the roll the clamp over center. It locks the front wheel in tight and the bike can't fall over. Two tie downs attached to the rear pegs and that is it. Once tied down if you grab the bike and shake it the whole trailer moves. I used them last year on my trip from GA to CA and back with no problems what so ever (not counting the little gas thing in MS

but that's a different story)
