Carbon Fiber Stuff

Put in a call to Lockhart Phillips about carbon fiber fenders which are now listed on their web site for the 'Bus. These items are "in development" at the moment with no official release date. Retail price was quoted to me as 199.95 for front and 219.95 for rear.

I forgot to remove my disk lock one day and put a small crack in the front fender. Now put the lock on the back! I imagine the official Suzuki replacement will cost a bunch. Do Shark Skinz come in factory colors? No hurry to replace the fender since blemish is hard to see but willing to wait for better cheaper stuff than Suzuki offers.

Sharkskinz require painting, however they are much cheaper and more flexable than stock. I don't think they are currently released for the busa.

Yokodyne is developeing carbon fiber body parts and solo race tail, but nothing will be known till MAYBE after september. (per email 6/10/99).
Most stuff for Hayabusa in Lockhart book was printed in book before the bikes were built.
