Carbon Fiber Wheels/Suspension changes?

When running carbon fiber wheels what kind of suspension changes would be required to compensate for lowered unsprung weight? Would it require adjustment at all?

With the weight reduction in wheels, you'll need to adjust your compression and rebound. No other adjustments should be necessary.

Assuming your suspension is properly adjusted before adding the CF wheels?

I had them on my 06...you will like them. A re-tune of the chassis after a season is not a bad idea.

i dont know if he is or not but he is right on changeing the set up,

you have less weight, thus the copm, and rebound will move diff , would be a simple fix to have it set up again,

we have local gus that do it for like 20 bucks your in your out !

and yea i wish i had some nice wheels!

Nope, can't afford them nor will they make me any smarter or a better rider! :poke:

Come on Rich, you know better. Damping controls the compression and rebound of the fork springs. Has nothing to do with what wheels you have it has to do with how much weight the spring has to contend with. Less weight needs more damping to control the spring!

Of course you are right in your post "No Changes Required" However, if you ride your bike hard I'd recommend it! :beerchug:

i would think you could soften up your compression settings a little bit. perhaps rebound as well, seeing as there's less unsprung weight to keep in contact with the road.

Awesome!
