Carbon rotors, ceramic pads

Hey all,
After being at the gap and running that hard i need new breaks. Go figure, if you rode with my group or seen us out there you would understand.
Here's what im looking for, had them on my race cars and looking for them on the bike. Looking for a set of Carbon rotors, and ceramic/organic compound pads with larger callipers and a different slave/master cylender.

Got any suggestions??

not carbon carriers but the actually rotor surface is a solid carbon disk. What is run on indy/ formula 1/ lemans or any other type of high breaking motorsports

Ill be honest with you, you dont want to use carbon rotors on the street! They require too much time to heat up to work correctly! They are also very expensive to use on the street!

as far as I know BrakeTech are the only ones who have something on the market. 3yrs ago I was in contact with them to attempt to get a set of their rotors. They had many production issues at the time and delayed the release for over 1.5 years. I know they're out on the market now. I've only talked to one guy who has them and he likes them but feels they're not worth the costs. If the prices ever come down it may be worth a try.

You have to remember that cars need alot more brake then bikes because of the weight/mass and they generate a ton more heat when braking. That the benefit of ceramic and carbon they can take the abuse.

For bikes you can go with bigger rotors and llarger calipers to improve your systems braking abilities. Personaly I feel the radial master cyl. (lever) helped alot. It gives you better feel and allows more precise braking.

There are carbon/carbon systems out there but they would cost a ton and wouldn't work well on the street. You have to generate lots of heat to get them to bite. Brembo makes these.

I wouls imagine you would go through a set of these every yr if you ride alot...thats a hefty maintnance cost a yr

I spoke with sales @ Braketech a few months back asking about their CMC rotors (not actually Carbon, btw but better according to BrakeTech)
the discs cost $1098 per, and the brake pads u need to use are $75 per caliper.....quite a costly setup!

I decided to go w/Wave rotors, new HH pads (i have SS lines), and either swap to '08 forks n radial MC that way, or upgrade my fork springs n do a radial MC setup on my OE forks w/ the 6pot Tokico. Cost is about the same n this way I get better suspension too-which will help in the braking dept. too.
