Carbon vs. Carbon Kevlar?

...I don't think it is heavier, but it is stronger...also much more costly and very ugly...a yellow weave over liad on cerbon...shows every imperfection...is intended to be pained from what I can tell...

A yellow overlaid or a yellow interwoven with the carbon? I've seen the second in mountain bikes and import racers. Looks pretty trick!

...interwoven would be the correct term...it dosn't look as good in large sections, but you have seen it, it would seem...

Kevlar is only a few % lighter than carbon, is a little stronger than carbon, but much harder to work with.

If you have any complex shapes that have tight radius bends, kevlar is a real pain and the extra lay-up time definitely costs you $$$ at the end of the day.

Stick with the carbon unless the extra 3-5% weight savings can be justified with a 10-25% cost increase.
