Carolina Guys

I've lived in Florida for 37years, I must admit it has it's strong points but...I don't really like it. Tired of all the rain, every day in the summer. I HATE the HEAT. I'm not really a beach/fishing guy. And I'm not particulary fond of all the flat straight rodes.

I do have a lot things keeping me here, a child in college,etc but as I look at my life one short year ago to where it is now...I never would have thought, so you never know.

If all things worked out, I'd love to move to (North, I think) Carolina. Love the mountains actually.

What is a good area to start poking around for realestate?
What I'm looking for is...

I am the mobile home industry (Quality Assurance) but not married to it.

I hate big cities.

Someplace where housing has not gone goofy.

Is possible to ride year round in the Carolinas?

Closer to the Gap the better

NC is great. I normally don't ride in Dec or Jan. Other than that it's year round.

FYI I have 26.5 acres for sale at 90k. It's in the dead center of the state, 6 miles from the Uwharrie National Forest.

I lived in NC way back when. Lived in Burlington. NC is a great state to live in, that's for sure! If I were to go back, I would try somewhere around Huntersville or that general area. Close enough but far enough away from Charlotte.

ashville is a great place. Not to mention close to the gap. I ride just about all year. I'm in Fayetteville
