Case protector for starter

Hey I was installing my case protector and GUESS WHAT! The housing that the case was to surround is broke..pics enclosed!

My question is there's more than enough of the housing to mount the case protector. Will this cause me later problems or WHAT?

I await words! I have to finish muzzy fan mod...NCpanther01.//

Roc, I don't know. I remember aboput two years ago I let someone work on my bike to fix my starter problem. I guess he got me!
