CBRXX or Hayabusa.... Part II

Thanks BigDog for taking charge.I do forgive the guy for his action, and like I said if your heart is with out love and compassion for your fellow woman/man/earth you have no soul.Bless to all and ride safe.

Just kidding guys, don't want to get anyone started. Looks like the old one got waxed, may have been the best thing. Too many pissed off people!

BOO!

Lol...

Not possible, BigDog... I tried to be friendly, now I am upset.

Hey, I actually got the opportunity to RIDE a 'Busa today. WOW! Holy Jesus...

Cybersh--head
Go away get your jollies elsewhere.
I give a crap how upset you are. You don,t deserve a Busa-But, its America and as we all know there is trach everywhere-LIKE YOU!!!

Amazing coming from someone too stupid to spell and too chicken to put up any info about themselves...

Look, I am not here to cause any more trouble... I just want to read the boards, K?

Peace from here... Let's grow up and stop this now. I will if you will.

Ha!

Okay, Bob...

Please.

Kammie, you have nothing to worry about... This chick ain't gonna hurt you...

OK, forgive/forget.
I just put 140 miles on my Busa since I got it yesterday. I can,t wait til its broken in.
How did you get to ride one?
What did you think?

So,what are you going to do? Are you ready to purchase?
I am sorry to say that I have already experienced the 5th -6th miss gear. It caused me to ramp the tach up to 8000 rpm.
I hope this doesn't screw up the break in. I doubt it since there wasn't any load on the motor. I will try to adjust the shift lever today and see if it helps.
I am going to put a wax on the bike and go to the taste of Chicago now. Great day/night for a Lake Shore Drive ride.

I will be ready to purchase after I get back from a business trip in Alaska. (No kidding) That's in three weeks.

Going down to the dealership today again to sit and look some more... I will let you know how it goes.

Woke up this morning and the 'Busa was the first thing on my mind... Then sex... Lol...

Cool.

I found one that had been "Factory Demoed" here in Tucson. It already had 5,000+ miles on it, and I seriously doubt it had seen any kind of break in period. Nonetheless, the dealer is both a Suzuki and Honda dealer, adn I ahve purchased bikes from him before, so he knew that I was serious about buying one of the two bikes...

As I said in another post, I have ridden the XX before, but not been able to ride a 'Busa yet.

This was my first opportunity to sit on both side-by-side, too. It's obvious that the 'Busa is more purposely built, with a seating position better suited for aggressive riding, all aluminum frame, adjustable suspension, etc... But that is nothing that none of us didn't know already.

They said that it had been "factory demoed," but I seriously suspect that it was a bike from one of the magazines. It was black and silver, no mods that I could see, and could have used a new set of rubber. It looked like the tires were original, but I can't imagine that to be true at 5,000 miles.

What I am about to tell you isn't something that I really want to admit, 'cause I am not a Suzuki person by nature. Nonetheless, the bike was absolutely incredible. The power was the strongest I have ever experienced in any bike, except for a few that I have been on that are custom drag bikes. The bike handled well. Much better than a XX...

(Gasp!) I liked it better than the XX that I wanted a month ago. It was unbeliveable...

BTW... No problems on the bike that I could see. No tapping anything (it was solid, like a missle) and 6th gear was just as available as 2nd and 3rd.

Seemed to me that Suzuki created something that Honda fell short of. I think that the 'Busa's mission statement is much clearer than the XX's was. What was Honda trying to do? Create a sporty tourer? Suzuki just made the fastest sportbike available, and made it much more comfortable than I remember...

But hey, don't tell anyone here... They all thought I only wanted the XX, and that I was just here to start stuff.

I was here to find out which was a better bike, and I don't think I actually got my answer until I rode one today. Funny... Worn out tires, too (worn on the edges, not in the middle... Interesting, hunh?)

"Butt horse meter" says that 160 hp is probably a real number. Why did Honda take away 5 hp on the XX? Why is it so upright a position? I thought I liked that, but the truth is that I thought the 'busa was MORE comfortable, kinda like a XX is more comfortable than a cruiser at speed.

Cyberjoe if you do get the Hayabusa make sure they throw in the Hayabusa tank bra, helps saves your bike from belt buckle/zipper scratches.Another thing I did was to put clear self sticking plastic near the airdam bottom front scoop to protect the bike from road dirt and rock chips, maybe someone will come out with a lower bra for the bike.We in Calif pay about $11,400 out the door, tax, licence, etc. If you get it for cheaper than go for it.Good Luck

if you do decide to get one
can you even find one
IS THERE ANOTHER BUSA LEFT IN THE COUNTRY?
i was just wondering
good luck
