Just shy of 48 K miles. Prefer EK brand and a 530 chain. Tell me what to get and why? And where the best deals are. Got a link freezing up on me. Did I mention O-Ring

For sixpack

The tensile strength of most aftermarket chains, including the EK3D in 520, is better than the stock 530.
With an aluminum rear sprocket, you will lose around 2.2 to 2.4 pounds of rotating mass when switching to 520 from 530.
This is a great place to order from, best price and service, and if they can't get what you want...it doesn't exhist

Where do you see a 520 conversion kit on there?

You have to call and ask them.
They have more options for each bike.
I put a 520 conversion on my '03 Gsxr1k(stock 530)and my friend's '18 Gsxr1k(stock 525).
He got an EK chain, I got a D.I.D, and both of us used Vortex sprockets, steel fronts and aluminum rears.

What kind of mileage do you get out of that aluminum rear sprocket? I already saw where you said the 520 chain is as strong as the stock 530 so I assume you'll get decent mileage out of that.

Normal riding, mileage isn't an issue.
With over 2k miles on the '18 Gsxr1k, the sprockets and chain still look new, and the chain has yet to need adjustment.
That bike gets ripped too.
On my Gen2 Busa with a Vortex aluminum rear sprocket, I broke 4 teeth from ham-fisting wheelies.
So, I went to their stronger Hard Cut coated aluminum rear sprocket...and broke 8 teeth, lmao.
But I was snatching wheelies up at 6k-8k rpm every ride.
The chain and front steel sprocket never showed any wear.
So as long as you aren't wheelieing or launching at high rpms, the aluminum rear sprockets do fine, and last a long time, I've seen them go 20k and even close to 30k miles.

I’m happy with the D.I.D chain and sprocket set I got fairly recently. X ring I think (I have 3 bikes) with a rivet master link and the tensile strength was 10K or more. You shoulda seen the 630 chain that came on the 79 CBX. You could tow a Peterbilt with it.

I did the 530 zvx3 chain and steel front and rear. I'm a heavy hitter (250lb rider) and I ride hard. Wheelies, launching. Just general hooligan stuff. I didn't care about weight savings, I wanted strength.
They have a new version of the ek 3d chain out of you need it
