Chain and sprockets

I need a new set of cogs and a chain.

1, How many links in the chain? (stock swingarm)
2, Where is the best (ie cheapest) place to buy?
3, Whats the best chain to buy without going broke?
4, What steps do you take to rivet the link?

I think I want to just keep the stock gearing. But if I end up changing it, is it a big deal to recalibrate the speedo?

I looked quick at how to get at the countershaft sprocket. It, uh, looks like a PITA. Anything I should know about maybe the clutch or something before I disassemble anything?

1. 112 links b. calsportbike.com, sprocketcenter.com, solomotoparts.com 3. DID zvm530 x-ring or equiv. $135 d. promotion jumbo chain tool, $109... you have to cut the new chain down, comes in 120 links shortest. Not hard to do, just do it right with the right tools, otherwise, take it to the shop. Not an area you want to shortcut! Best to change both sprockets and chain as a set, recommended. Download the shop manual, on this site or by the Haynes manual for step by step. Nothing to do with the clutch itself, just the pushrod. Make sure you use locktite on all fastners going back together, torque everything.
