Chain stretch?

chain strecth is normal. I adjusted mine nearly every 200 miles, just ot keep it in spec. Then, after about 2500 miles, no more adjustment needed. Have had to tighten it 2 since 2500. Now got 12,00 miles. New chain sitting in front room. Not needed yet. Chain has Scottoiler and mobil 1.

Nuts ;)

I have tightened mine twice in 1300 miles. The first was after the first 300 miles.

Be careful not to overtighten it. It needs 20 mm of slack to have the right tension when the arc of the swingarm lengthens under acceleration.

Of course, if you have a Wickedspeed or Ducmaniac style of riding you better replace it with something heavier now.

i have had mine stretch twice than thats it. the main thing is it is better to have it a tad looser than the exact measurement. it will not strecth half as bad. i drag mine quite often. but i do hold back from clutch wheelies. that will eat that fker up in a second.

rocket cop, the chain is ok if you ride at normal levels. and if your name says anything about you it will be fine.

why being an officer of the law and all. going 5 under, hand signals, reflector vest.......lol, really do you get in trouble if pulled over. or you whip the badge out .

Since I'm new to the rocket riding world, I seem to have a slight problem with chain stretch. My 2000 Busa, with some modifications, seems to need the chain re-tightened....often. There is no abuse, other than an occasional rear wheel ride and thats all throttle, no clutch! Does my size have anything to do with this problem? (6'05", 250lbs) Any suggestions? Or just too much power from engine to tire with the chain being the weak link? (no pun intended)
