What is best to use to clean a chain? I only race the bike, so it sees no street use. I plan to use air tool oil to relube the chain when I am done. Aor tool oil will have less resistance when rolling.

Any ideas?

I use a solvent tank but not sure on an o-ring chain.I think solvent should be fine as long as you get it all off and blown out.

I use this stuff to clean it...

And this stuff to lube it...

Both products seem to work very well, but I think the manual recommends kerosene for cleaning.

Dont use gas.For one it costs too much, it stinks and theres a chance of fire.I just use my solvent tank but wasnt sure if the o-rings would dry out.

WD-40 , which is basically Kerosene in a can. Maxima Chain wax for lube, but you just asked about cleaning.

WD-40 is a water displacement spray.I didnt think it had kerosene in it.I do agree it works better for a cleaner than a lube.

So Kerosene is not flamable????
WD-40 is a penetrating solvent which displaces H2O/moisture...get that in your SEALED O ring chain and its curtains for it.

Kerosene, brush, simple green to wash, quick spin to dry and warm up Dupont Teflon to lube. Easy peasy.

kerosene is flamable for sure but gas is more volatile. So solvent will ruin the o-rings??Are they buna o-rings??

If the seals are any way weak it'll get in there and dry them out. Don't get me wrong, that stufff cleans like a mf'er, but the risk of me ruining a $150 chain due to ease is not worth it. My mech. brother reccomended that I don't use WD-40 years ago and won't.
Just my $.02
