Changing Rear Sprocket

OK....going up a size on my rear sprocket on my 03 with 8000 mikes.
Question is do I/should I change out both sprockets and chain at the same time?

The OEM sprockets/chain are showing little if any wear.

I think it is ideal to change all at 1 time.

When I chaned my front.....I did not. My chain and sprockets looked good so I left them. I had 10k miles when changed

i think you should change it all at once. BUT my oem setup lasted 20k. i cleaned and lubed it all the time. if you do change only the rear let us know how it turns out
good luck

If there is not much wear on any component, I don't change that part.
If chains last 20,000 and a rear aluminum sprocket lasts 10,000, then I would just put on a new sprocket and leave the chain.
If money is no object then do all at once, but I find it hard to throw away a part that is only 1/2 or less worn out.
Watch for wear on each piece and go from there. JMO
Clean and lube it often and with a good lube, and keep it adjusted and the mileage will be amazing.

This time around I would go ahead and change out both the front and rear sprockets along with the chain.
