As I am on a strict budget, I did the following.
I bought the Phillips Lockhart Aluminum bike bolts. ($50) and a COBALT 3/8" drill bit ($10) Hindle stainless full system($600)
First there is weigh there, it is just that Suzuki hid it well.
My mods took 25 hours.
Starting from the front and with no body work on, I replaced almost the full bolt kit on my bike.
With a 1/2" and a 5/16" drill bit, I went to town on the bird cage (the thing that holds on your guages.
Then I removed the oil reservior tank and steel bracket. I rerouted the oil crankcase breather (with aid from the extra hoses from the oil reservoir)and directed it right over my chain, good place and now my chain gets oiled. I sealed the hole (from the oil reservoir) in the air box.
Any brackets that did do anything were tossed and remaining steel one were drilled.
The other heavy parts are the gas tank hinge and the rear tail light holder(drill liberally).
Under the Canadian model front pegs behind the curb feelers are two thick pieces of steel (place in garbage as throwing them might kill someone)
Bar ends- gone. Replace with two Suzuki fairing bolts.
Passenger grab rail- gone as well as the 4 bolts that hold it on.
I did the fender mod that I read from this site.
Side reflectors- gone.
I did the mod on the air box( the one where you Dremel the opening bigger and seal off the vacuum module.
The Hindle pipe is worth 22lbs savings.
At the end on the day I lost about 35lbs gained maybe 15 hp. Good luck
