You could see bad things happening in the first frame.
He looks to be a rookie.
He has so many feet to the right in his lane, but he is not there,he has chosen a line too close to the center line. He should be on "white to the right" he is on yellow to the left.
Its turn set up...he is screwed from the get go.
He is looking left in a right hand corner.Prolly see's the car...(target fixation) Instant panic.
Good couple clips to teach a newbie what NOT to do.
Thanks Tach,
Rubb.

Last time I was there 2 Zs were blocking the road one going one way the other going the other way talking!

On tour in Colorado one year I came around a similar right hand corner to find a Jeep sitting crossways across the middle of both lanes. It was making a U turn that close to a corner! I had just enough time to right the bike and hit the brakes hard then I pushed on the right grip and narrowly passed the spare tire mounted high on the Jeep’s rear to my left. I passed so close that I actually looked at my mirror to see if it was still there. I could hardly believe that missed hitting it.

and there are 18 wheelers taking the entire road, pickup trucks towing boats and campers, and of course motorcycles passing leaf peepers in blind corners on the wrong side to make things more interesting.

back in the 90"s when Deals Gap was mostly sport bike oriented there were a few that would take off after dark, following the rider in front of them using their head light and tail lights to see in the pitch blackness........now picture yourself in a blind right hand turn meeting the headlights of an 18 wheeler on your side of the road........good fun :D

Google didn't provide the latest stats, but I wasn't looking to hard.
Nov 2015-Apr 2017 178 crashes. 2,300 citations.
27 deaths over a 10 year period.
Nasty road.
