check your insurance

My freind wrecked his bike. A no fault accident. went on his own to get checked out... state farm says the driver of a motorcycle has only 1000 dollar medical no matter what. He doesnt have any other medical like most people. so before something happens better look out...

yeah so double check your medical on full coverage cause it only pays the first 1k

sf won't sell me pip on my busa.

that would be according to "HIS" policy... I have 25G on mine.. but that is still nothing at all... you take a trip to the ER with any real injury and 1G is as good as 25G in coverage..

You need to have personal health insurance that has at least a million in benefits if you have any assets at all... Just the way it works, auto/bike insurance is not "health" insurance by any stretch nor is it meant to be..

Most off the shelf policy limits are 5G or less.. (best thing that ever happened to insurance rates)

$1000 is what I've had for medical with both Progressive and State Farm. But I have regular health insurance through my job so the grand from the bike policy would come in handy for co-pays. Sure wouldn't pay much by itself.

In the state of Wisconsin you can not get more than 1,000 in medical on your motorcycle insurance. I have tried with 4 different companies. I wanted 10K just so I would be legal to ride in FL without a helmet on my Harley.

With State Farm his agent never asked what he wanted. I would guess he assumed he had the coverage. I asked for $10,000 coverage which did raise it about 60 a year.

Can't always blame the insurance companies for not being informed, Agent's yes...

Motorcycle Medical Insurance. Never heard of that??? The only medical covered on my Bike is if I hit some one and hurt them on my Bike. Or if someone hits me and they don't have any insurance.

I guess in PA I utilize my Work insurance. My insurance will not supply self inflicted Medical.
