China no-cut sliders... T-rex guys, I need some help

So I decided to spend the $15 or so dollars on some knock off T-rex sliders. They came in today and I'm a little puzzled as to how they mount up. I googled it and found a very helpfull page with pics and all. The one thing that was not shown however was where the heck the little aluminum bushings go. Looking at a pic of the T-rex's, the kit is the same but has two aluminum bushings rather than one. My bike is in the shop this week so I don' have it to dry fit up yet. I'm just trying figure it all out for when I get her back.

On a side note, these things are actually very good quality for being so darn cheap. I'm a machinist and a welder and I can honestly say that these things are welded like a friggin tank and are robust enough to satisfy even the most skeptical of folks.

Can't find my camera cable... It's always something.

Anyway, in this pic of the T-rex sliders you can see the bushing I'm talking about by the washers. My China kit came with two, one slightly larger than the other. This is the best I can do till I find my camera cable.

I just pay for insurance:laugh:. J/K I do want to see how those look when you get them on .

that "bushing" is a spacer for use with the shorter stem. found a pic, hope this helps

Okay, so apparently something is not right. The little cross bar rod that goes behind the radiator hits the fan shroud pretty squarely, not sure if I can go behind it. I think I have the brackets on right, they really only fit one way. Looking at the bike, I can't even look straight through behind the radiator, there's just no room. Is that what the flat spot on the crossbar is for? To go around the fan shroud? If that's the case these just will not work with a BDE exhaust as the rod will hit the primaries on the header. Any Ideas? This kit is and exact copy of T-rex.

I paid $69 for it last year on ebay. I didn't have any problem with it, accept the bar that go across is like 1/32 from the radiator fan. I Wish they make a replacement puck for it. Where did you get your and $15 I'll get another one to make a race rail out of it.

Bought them from Amazon, ebay has them as well. What kind of exhaust do you have? The cross bar hits my fan and there's really not much if any room between the fan and the primaries.

I have the Trex sliders on my gen 1. The flat spot does go around the fan shroud bracket. Just be careful mine was pushing on the bracket I guess a little to hard and eventually the fan shroud wore through a couple fins causing a pin hole leak. I ended up pulling the rad and fan and bending the beaker a little thus pulling it a hair further away from the rad fins. Bike still cools down just like before and I fixed my radiator. No leaks since and no overheating.

$15 and no instructions:poke:
Good luck with those, post up some pics when you get them mounted!

I'm quite sure they would work fine on a stock bike. With a Brock's exhaust however, the primaries stick out further and are in the way.
