Chrome Factory Decal

I got the black and grey '03' and during my last wash I noticed that the factory "chrome" kanji on the side is getting fine scratches in it. On closer examination I see that it is a decal and NOT clear coated on the bike. I could not believe this. My old GSXR had all the decals clear coated and the never developed any sort of scratching. My questions are:

Is this the way everyones busa's are, without the clear coat?

Is there anything that will take the scratches out of a decal?

Where is the best place to get a new decal set?

All the gsxr's i had only had the decals on the tank clearcoated
I use zaino z5 and zfx to remove fine scratches and it works great
also makes the whole bike look awesome. I use z2 with zfx once the fine scratches are gone

Thanks for the input. My 91 GSXR 750 had all the decals clear coated so this must be something they adopted as a cost savings measure at some point after that. Where you get the zaino products?
