Clear Clutch Cover

Today after I got home from work, I noticed that I had gotten the cover in! Thanks to thepushercg for taking the time to make this. I didn't cut the fairing yet because I don't have the tools to cut it. I'm also reusing the old gasket because it seemed perfectly fine.. All I need to do is get some sealant. Here are some pretty crappy pics. Most of my pics are in the night time because thats when I come home from work so sorry if they are pretty hard to see. Hopefully on Sunday I will get a chance to cut the fairing and I will be able to take a better pic.

I'm probably going to repaint the housing myself when I get time simply because this was a used one and it has a couple scratches here and a few scuff marks there... Also gonna try to see if I can work some of the paint where the sealant is simply because the color of it makes it very noticeable in person and it kind of ruins the look of it. Kind of hard to see it in the pic though but its there. I might even do some more work with the ring because around some of the bolts it seems that the color either faded or its been chipped. Not sure what that is but its no biggie.

Again big thanks to thepushercg for the mod

What's the purpose of this mod? I guess if the clutch pressure disc was polished and the bolts were chromed it would be neat to look at.

What's the cost?
Are there LEDs installed also?

I have plans in the future to do work on the bolts / plate. My free time is really limited. As far as the purpose, its just an appearance mod, nothing more.. As for cost, PM thepushercg and he can quote you according to what you want done to it.

Not at all. I didn't want to send mine to get done simply so I can have the stock one as a backup. The housing I bought was previously used from another person who he bought it from. It was scratched like that when he got it from that person. Thats why I said I was going to repaint the housing

As soon as I stop by lowes or home depot to get the dremel tool, that thing is coming off!

Any recommendations as far as what brand to go with? Or are they all basically the same?

*UPDATE*

OK hopefully someone can help me with this. I just got finished cutting the fairing and bought some of that gold door trim BUT I'm having a problem getting it to cover all the spots that I want because it won't flex too much. Here is an example of what I'm talking about: (Click the image to better see what I'm talking about)

Is there anything else besides door trim that is a little more flexible? Or any tricks to get this thing fitted on there all the way? With two pieces, it wouldn't look too pretty

Can't edit my post but disregard that.. I got the info I needed

Will update with finished pics though when I get home from work

I tried the blow dryer method like Joe said and it helped loosen it up a bit, but as you can see in the pic, that is a pretty sharp edge.. I will probably just leave the trim in the circle for now till I find something that is more easily applicable. Looks kick ass though!

From the looks of it, that part of the body is a little different than the older busas. I think on those, its not as much as a point there. Where you see space, there used to be a rubber piece there..Wish it wasn't like that!

the purpose is to get everyone that sees it to go "wow" I have spent $$$$'s on my bike and the first thing anyone notices is the cover... easily the most commented item too...
