Clicking Noises

So I did use the search button and found a thread on this issue but mine seams to have gotten louder. It's from the front wheel or brakes rather and goes away when the front brake is applied speeds up and slows down according to speed and the brake seems to work great. Please put my mind at ease

Thanks. ...

Put it in the air, drop a caliper and see if it continues. If it does pull the other one. If it's still there it could be front wheel bearings, but because operating the brakes makes it go away I suspect the brakes. Could be time for new pads, they have chirpers that indicate wear.

Could it be something to do with floating discs worn, as you pull brake disc could be moving causing the click, grab disc and check movement

Bike only has 7000 miles on it and the whole assembly is stock ... pads are good ... other thread I found said some noise is normal? Rotational only clicks every once around and I don't see anything touching

did you check the wheel bearings?

Can't be wheel bearing because it goes away with a very very small amout of pressure on the the brake lever like to the point of pads not touching rotors and not slowing at all
I have today off so I should be able to look at it again

It sounds like a similar problem like mine. When I push the bike forward there was a sound of small touching shaving and a clicking sound once so often. What I did was I cleaned the brake discs with disc brake cleaner then used an air compressor and blew the calipers clean there was some break dust coming out of the calipers when air pressured them. It seems now it stopped :)

Ok got her figured.. I have one brake pad that moves in its backing so in order to make it go away I need new pads ... sounds like an excuse for an upgrade. .. any suggestions?

HH or better. Pro and extreme are better, but like all performance parts the better they work the shorter the life span. I am running just the HH pads and they work great for me on the street.
