When I throttle on after throttle off it feels like a long delay before the bike response. I tightened the chain, and this helped a bit, but it still seems bad to me

any good ideas to check

(bigoltool @ Jun. 04 2007,18:32) How many miles? If the chain is good it could be cush drive rubbers?
Can you tell if the rubber cush's are stuffed by tring to turn with hand back and forth. I had A VTR and that was very easy to tell, but the busa sprocket seems tight.

if you've never replaced the cush things.. I would start there.

I bought a set and replaced at about 10k and could tell a difference.. so I'm sure it would make a difference at 25k.. may not be the problem... but you will notice an improvement so it wouldn't be wasted anyway.

Are you talking about a delay in engine rpms when you throttle ON.... or, is are the rpm's coming up but no go?
