robh,....yes it's a billet basket...it's the only one for a busa in the world that i'm aware of...you need to let me talk to my sorce on the basket to see if they want to go any further...if they do i'll lrt you know...

i forgot...chris is right..you know there is a balancer on your crank on these bikes..it's to take vibration out of your motor...i left mine in for now just because of what chris saying. but i'll tell you a little secret...you can gain around 8 more hp by removing it...(crank balancer)...

Frank,

Have you or anyone you know of removed that balancer. I was wanting to pitch mine too but around 500 miles per month of seat time (hopeful) might prevent it if there's too much to vibration.

Any of you have experience with the bird's clutch mods. I know Schnitz has one but I think they want you to send your basket in and that is going to require more down time than I desire. What's the problem (as if nobody knows...) and what mods are getting done to prevent the slip?

Anyone hear of what Gast is doing with his? I know he's hot and heavy into finding this bike's limitations.

no i still have mine in there. just because we don't want to do to much to soon.let this package work for a while then i'll look into doing it...but i do know you can gain 7 or 8 hp with out it.....

there welding the center of your clutch hub..this is ok if your bike is stock...it should hold up all the way to about 250 rwhp...if your dragracing you'll need this for sure..i think they're is enough turn around now so you shouldn't have to wait..they can swap it now..i would try to get it from somebody other than schnitz though because of personal reasons..i'll post it on another topic.....i had a basket made that will adcept a lock up...it's not a welded basket like brock has...it's a solid basket that will never be seen on the market..at least thats what i'm told.....frank

Remember if you go into a turn now and down shift to quickly your clutch will not slide the rear tire...after mod its slide away...just depends what you want to do with your bike.

cbxchris:
Thanks for the tip. I'm just a lil' ole drag racer that likes to commute with his toys so the lack of slip shouldn't cause to much pain and suffering.

Frank:
Did you have a billet basket made? Are you refering to an "unknown" that has one? This is the hot ticket for me and the way I'd like to go. Comon, tell me who (PLEASE!!!). You can sen me an email, promise I won't forward....
