clutch problems

Took the bike out to today and the clutch lever was hard to pull at times and the clutch shifter would not engage in any gear and when it did it was very hard to get it to switch gears.Checked the hydrolic pin on the lever fine checked the fluid lever fine. F1 light did not come on at any time. The only thing I can think it could be is the oil. Not really sure jus trying to find out before I change it again. ( Just changed the oil yesterday thats why I figured that might be the problem not sure though. Bought 5w-40 synthetic by mistake put it in anyway figured it wouldn't hurt anything and maybe it did maybe it didnt any other thoughts.When the bike was in a gear it worked fine but getting it into a gear was a issue.

No clutch problem prior to oil change?
I would dump the oil and throw a new filter on and put 10w-40 in it and see if the problem persists.

My guess is that your clutch push rod is sticking. I doubt an oil change would cause the symptoms you have.
