Hope this is Not a Stupid Question but How do you know when your Clutch is going out ?

I have a little over 3000 Miles on my 06 and it seems like I have to let the clutch out a lot farther then usual during take Off

Any Suggestions ?

You know when it starts slipping at full throttle in the higher gears.
If you are not drag racing it or otherwise abusing it, it should be fine. As it wears the engagement area will change slightly.
If you want to check it out, pull it apart and measure everything per the service manual. Most of the time you can freshen a worn clutch by and swapping for the thin steel plates for the thick ones along with a fresh set of springs.

Just an added thought. When I was getting new tires my mechanic told me the clutch needed to be adjusted. This was at 4000 miles. Maybe this is what you are experiencing?

How long does the Average Clutch Last ?  How Many Miles before you Usually have to replace one ?
I have seen them last as much as 40k and seen some abuse them away at 2k. Mine went 8K with about 75-100 1/4 mile passes. If I had known then what I know now, 2 thick plates and a set of springs, it would have kept going. I did repair it by checking everything replaing a few plates and bead blasting a few steels and made a spare out of it.

They are one of the better clutchs out there and take quite a bit of abuse.

How do you Adjust the Clutch ? Is the dirctions in the Manual or do I have to by a seperate manual ?

Thanks in Advance ?

There is not an adjustment, other than the lever position by the knob on it.

As long as it is bled properly, no air in it, as Rick said...No adjustment. It would have to ba cable driven to need asjustment.
