clutch rattle

Hi everyone, just joined the forum and hello.Ive recently bought an immaculate 11500 mile 2005 busa,1 owner from new, full service history, bog standard, and im concerned about the amount of rattle the clutch is making on idling which seems to quieten when the clutch is pulled in.The idle speed is a bit low at 950rpm so could this be causing the rattle or do the throttle bodies need balancing. The clutch action and gearbox selection is superb, any help would be most welcome, thanks,Graham.

They all rattle of grumble a bit when the clutch is out. Unless it's really loud or metallic sounding, I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't know if I would call it a rattle but it does sound different when in neutral and the clutch lever being either in or out.
A slight reduction in rpm's is also noted when the clutch lever is out.

I would make sure your oil level is up and I would set the idle speed to 1150-1200 rpm. That will help you keep from stalling
at a stop sign or traffic light.

:welcome: and congrats on the new to you bike.

We like pictures, so if you haven't posted one yet it's not to late.

Mine is more of a grumble or rumble that goes away when you pull in the clutch. My buddies gen 1 does the same thing.
