I'll start this by saying that i am NOT an Ohio State fan, and that I AM a huge michigan fan.

How is it that a few weeks back, Ohio state had a shutout victory and dropped 2 places in the rankings, yet Michigan lost this past weekend and moved UP 2 places in the rankings?

Also, How is it that Oregon can DESTROY a Cal team 48-3 and not be in the top 25, while Cal is still in the top 25? Are they saying that being someone 48-3 doesnt mean you are better than they are?

Someone throw me a friggin bone here, because this crap makes no sense.

Well, how can Auburn be undefeated and also be out of the Top 25 ??? . Yet LSU has the worse record for both Defense and Offense stats and be in the Top Ten ??? . BCS needs a FIXING

Well it is not just those teams being factored in, strength of card and all the other teams are also factored in. Also, half the ranked teams this year aren't showing consistency, nor do they perform to how they should on paper.

That being said, the rankings are screwy, and so is the bowl system. :rulez:

to many factors involved anymore for the average sports fan to understand, it's all about the money, alot has to due with their rpi, and that depends on the early season schedule and alot of the smaller schools make a bunch of money by playing much larger schools knowing they don't have a chance, i am a osu alumni and follow them closely but it's come to the point where one loss and it's over, it's hard to really care anymore. dave

playoffs will never happen as long as the bowl coalition and the BCS are in the pockets of the NCAA admins. Too much money at stake for them to do that. I've already given up on college football for the year, and probably for good until they fix it.
