Common parts

Folks, need some help here.
I have a '04 model and the piston in the master brake cylinder is busted. Since I have easy access to the parts of the '10 model was wondering if i could use that instead.

Please let me know if the part would fit. Appreciate any information you can share

@ Fastfrog007 - Thanks! That was useful. The part numbers are different for the piston cup set but the same for the piston boot in the master cylinder. I'm confused now if the part would work or not.
