Coolant??!!!

Can I use regular Car Coolant in the bike? Or is there a special motorcycle coolant? Will it damage the bike? Is there a special coolant just for bikes? Can I throw some distilled water in it?

PLEASE HELP NEW TO BIKES

Use any antifreeze that is aluminum compatable, and mix it with distilled water (no more than 50%)
Antifreeze alone does not cool as well as if you add about 40% - 50% distilled water.

i switched to engine ice from the prestone 50/50 this year. it does run a little cooler i noticed. the prestone seemed to work just fine though

I use Engine Ice; seems to run a bit cooler as indicated by the temp gauge and the fan doesn't come on as much in stop-n-go traffic...

whatever you do, don't waste money on pre-mixed coolant. always mix recommended coolant with distilled water as Mike1180 said.
