Cop vs COP

Well.......Speed I guess with all the views and no comments folks don't know what to say ?
Let me be the first I guess .

Trooper is right , plainclothes is wrong and belligerent .
Florida Troopers don't mess around and consider and take their job seriously !
And to anyone who thinks or has said in the past that cops are above the law should now see that at least to a FHP officer they are not !
I myself have seen a marked FHP car pull over a marked PBSO (Palm Beach Sheriff Officer) and give them a speeding ticket .
Hats off to the FHP for being so patient .

I've contacted Al Sharpton. He assured me that the Black cop is in the right and the White cop is a member of the KKK.

But seriously, the Black guy was acting like a ****...but the White cop was also acting like a ****. If the White cop had just let it go, there would've been no problem. He could have defused the situation by not antagonising the Black guy, but he just had to show that he had the power.
Typical dumbass cop.

On the highway which most likely was I95 the Trooper does have the power and is the law !
At that point in time the plainclothes cop had no rhyme or right to do anything but to obey the troopers commands which he didn't do .
Trooper should have Tazed his cocky azz :)

Not much to dispute, dumb ass plain clothes cop acted like a idiot, got what he deserved

But that's the point: cops are not The Law. Ever. They are a civilian service, not a military one. Too many cops let their title go to their heads, and forget that they are also citizens just like anyone else.
That said, I do think the Black guy acted stupidly. But I also think the White cop acted stupidly.

Old video and one I watched closely to it's final outcome in court. Plain cloths Officer was a Lt. with Miami Dade County. One would have expected and officer to use better judgment, meaning the Lt. All charges were dropped on the case don't even ask me to figure out how and why. Think the camera footage prior to the stop worked against the Trooper.

Troopers don't play, not to long ago a Trooper stopped an Officer doing 95 on the highway in his unmarked an the officer refused to stop till he got to the service plaza. Then he tells the Trooper he is on his way to a call. Trooper lets him go and away he went little did he expect that the Trooper would investigate and verify his bs story and instead of a ticket, the officer ended being suspended for I think 2 weeks without pay

WIN!! lead by example I say.

The officer in uniform was on duty and had the duty. The other officer lost it and it's a wonder he didn't get shot.

First thing out of is mouth should have been, "Officer, I'm a deputy with ..... , I am armed and my badge is in my car, may I get it and show it to you? or, "may I put this pouch on the hood and get my badge out of the car?"; once approved, move calmly and slowly. They officer obviously saw the outline of the gun, and had to ASK - wrong.

The UC should get fired for being stupid. Yes, the other officer was playing chickenshait with him, but the guy failed to defuse the situation. Take your licks and fight it later.

a little saying we Devil Dogs have "A Marine on Duty has NO Friends". goes the same way for cops, just because your a cop doesn't give you the right to skate by and do something wrong and think you can get away with it because your a cop, just my 2 cents:thumbsup:

Thank you!

Just because he's a LEO, doesn't mean that he's above the law! If he had moving violations, then he should be cited for them...I bet that any other citizen would have been written up right away.

I'm glad to see that the "good ole boy club" wasn't working that night.

Where is his PROFESSIONAL COURTESY?

If the plainclothes had handled it like skydivr said, then the courtesy probably would have been extended.

He was on a complete power trip! There was no reason to start pointing out BS things like the sticker on his plate unless he was trying to show the off duty cop who was boss...:rulez:

The key word here is "he was undercover." The trooper might have blown his cover so the black officer did what any other criminal would have done. Blown up at the officer to try and keep his cover as a bad guy.

I don't think he was "undercover" I think it stated he was "plain-clothed" big difference.
I also completely respect police officers, but am a firm believer that they are not above the law and aren't "the law"
Seems like the last thing they hand out at the police academy is a cocky attitude...

I am surprised none of you remember this from the news. Plain cloths was off duty Lt. from Dade County SO. On duty cop was not a Trooper but a SO assigned to Drug Task Force.

This went to court and Lt. got off because the officer had a history of stopping people of color for bogus reasons and then doing probable cause drug searches. In fact he had several drug cases thrown out and a judge ordered him to stop pulling cars over for suspicion of motor vehicle code violations like tint, covered plates and loud music.

The guy blew up because he didn't commit any traffic violations. The on duty cop's pride wouldn't let him admit he had been caught in a lie. The Lt. was suspended for a week and reprimanded for his actions.
