Copper plating

This may sound nuts but I have a copper busa and was thinking about copper plating the wheels, has anyone done this? Might be to soft a material to hold up well but I could see it looking really good.

I just saw an episode where Martha Stewart brushed gold leaf on different materials. Why not send her your wheels, maybe she would do a special episode on gold leafing your wheels. The rumor on her web site is that "Busa's make me wet".

You would have to clean your wheels every day. Copper is a pain in the AS? to keep clean. This might be a little expensive but looks incredible, have your wheels polished and then have them powder coated the copper color. It looks translucent, and real easy to take care of. I seen it at the NYC bike show.

Copper (in it pure form) shouldn't be a problem to care for. It ois very corrosion resistant (hence it is used in many beer brewing appications, radiators, ect). Plating copper onto something is also very easy.
