Couple new toys

Well, I think I finally got a race bike that will be reliable at the track. Bought the 7rr from a friend of mine who is relatively meticulous. Greg Moons rebuilt the engine and did a bit of work to it. It dyno'd at 110.88 hp and put out almost 53 foot pounds of torque. I've ridden the bike a few times and it boogies, boy. I'm happy with it so far.

The cruiser is a Kawi Vulcan. It's...okay. For riding long distances is hella easier on my neck. I haven't been on a cruiser since 1996. It's nice to take and relax on. Put on some miles relaxing and just taking things in, it's nice for that.

Rob sent so much stuff with the 7. I have six different sprockets, a set of tear offs for extra tires, spare tripple tree, spre brake and clutch levers, spare ignition advancer....all kinds of stuff.

Should be pretty cool, even though I've temporarily moved over to the dark side...sort of.

I hope so, too!

I've been friends with Rob for a couple of years and know his 7 pretty well. Never can tell what all can go wrong with a used bike, and one that has been raced, but Rob is a fairly meticulous kind of guy. He's getting into motocross now...going through that phase.

So he's selling some of his road racing stuff. He kept his 6r with spare frame and engine, et cetera.

I know, I know. It's been raining like crazy over here! I looked at the 10 day forecast and it's all storm clouds and rain.

Sucks.

Yah, Minneapolis is getting the junk also. At least its not snowing here yet, as I seen WI got some last night. After riding home from work last night, I decided I would park the Busa for a few days...I'm sick of being sick, and this weather is not helping matters.

Anyhow, just a little razzing on the floor dry...I swear there are little puddle gremlins that sneak out and drop some drizzle under my bikes every time I take a picture...lol

Track bike looks sick, just don't know how you guys do it putting all that time and money into those bikes, making them look so cool and perform so well, when eventually you know it's going to be sliding down the track, even just the thought makes me sick.

And the Vulcan looks good too, like to see some outside pics of it.

Yeah, I know. It's going to be a pain scraping stickers off when I need to repaint....
