Has anyone noticed what appear to be surface cracks in the metal where the back sprocket connects to the rear wheel. They appear to be minor casting defects, but who knows?
Those "cracks" look awful. I complained early on about mine and dealer said not to worry. After I had the wheels and hub polished, the "cracks" disappeared. They were in fact casting surface imperfections and I stopped worrying.
Not to pick but this is old news (do a search and see). Yes it looks bad. Cush drives themselves (rubber bits) have worn out from admitted owner overuse. But where are the broken metal parts?
Take the rear cush drive off the bike and bring it to a polish and powdercoat shop, it will come back so nice the ZX12 chasing you can see his unhappy face in the reflection
