Which cruiser would you buy?  And Why?

I'm contiplating a cruiser and was looking for suggestions from those who have had any experience with any one of these bikes.  I'm looking for a large CC (no less than 1100) cruiser for some 2-up distant riding............Maybe at the expense of the Busa sad.gif

The only bike here I've had any expereince with is the VTX 1800.............but I've always thought the Victories were cool.

Just sold my Yamaha Road Star Warrior. A great Hot-Rod cruiser, but not very good for the long haul or 2-up riding. Instead I now have the Road Star Silverado. I like it a lot. Very nice for long trips with a passenger. Big V-twin and all of the classic styling and engineering cues of the genre.

Not out of the equation I guess.............Just never been a big Yamy fan.............But I could be converted if there was enough evidence that it was the right choice.

My buddie here at work just picked up a VTX 1800, It's huge. I prefer the 1300 over the 1800. I like em both but the 1300 I here is a better bike to ride. It's a bit smaller and better handling.

I loved my cruiser but when I bought my Busa I knew the cruiser had to take a back seat. I have a Suzuki Intruder 1500 and it is very comfy and big!!!! I am a Suzuki fan so I opted for that instead of a Harley. The comfort and dependability are there without the expense. It is for sale now. Good time of year for that!!!!

I think I'd like the Warrior just for cruising around town. I love the low, mean profile. Never ridden one though.

I like the vulcan... cool.gif

...maybe ill buy one of those when I turn 40!!

I just picked up a 2005 HD Night Train. I love it, it has the sport custom look and you can just take it easy on it if you want. The only thingI would suggest is that if you are going to have your woman riding with you then you might want to think about up grading the back seat.

Thanks guys/gals. Looks like its a toss up between the VTX and other. I kinda like the Victories myself, but have never actually sat on one. Think I'm going shopping Saturday and actually sit my arse on a few different of them and see what I think. biggrin.gif

well a vmax is a cruiser or maybe victory hammer ,big dog mastiff cant be beat for price and options wink.gif

I just sold my VTX1300c about a month ago. It's an excellent bike, I just got tried of riding cruiser's. If, I go back to riding cruiser's it will be a VTX1800c.  The 1800's is a very powerful bike with above average acceleration, it's also good for long hauls. The price isn't bad either.

The Hammer is a great looking bike, and powerful too, but doesn't look to be the best choice for 2-up riding and adding things like sissy bars and bags for traveling. Thats why I was thinking possibly the Vegas, its in between the Kingpin and the Hammer, and still has some sporty appeal.

V-max is definitley not an option, much smaller bike than I'm looking for.

I have a friend with a VTX 1800 I have to addmit it is very responsive for a cruiser. The new F model is pretty slick and with a couple mods you might be very pleasently surpised. I had it in 3rd gear in my neighborhood and did a roll on and there was no buck no splutter just acceleration like there should be. I have an Aero 1100 nice comfy ride but i would get rid of it for the 1800 in a heart beat. But now I don't have to worry about that cause I have a Busa and the Aero.If at the time the 1800 would have been out I would have bought it.

Kinda like the looks of the Suzuki M109r. But if I was to get a cruiser probably be a V-rod with a 240 kit.
