Curiosity was strong, so I YOLOed!

I've been wanting more sound out of the piggy for over a year. I loved how my Yoshis looked, but being JDM pipes, they were quiet to comply with Japan laws. I saw those KO Lightning pipes on eBay months ago and I watched videos on YouTube about them.

I knew they were gonna be louder than I wanted, but surprisingly, they sound very nice and my butt dyno feels more oomph. That's contrary to what I was expecting given the higher flow and assumingly, the total lack of R&D from whoever designed them.

I rode today and didn't go WOT not even a single time. She was pulling noticeably harder than before at half throttle, so I was receiving satisfaction without giving it the full beans. I love how the bike sounds now, especially above 6K RPM.

This is the page I'm on. The Yosh four into one AT2 uses smaller pipes than the Brocks system, and the Moore Mafia map for that pipe works well, I think, with the redesigned engine internals to keep the torque and power on the left side of the map. There's a whole science on this forum based on getting the highest peak number, but I'm kind of down with a beefier profile under 8K, even at the expense of Max HP close to redline. We don't have industry terminology for this other than 'de-tune,' but I think we need a better phrase. 'Streetable' doesn't really cut it either. Something like 'tuned for Max Grunt.'

I describe it as a heroin addiction to torque pulling away from the apex that feels like a nuclear submarine is powering the chain. Doesn't mean I want a twin, because yech, I really don't like those. But I would like to try a supercharged bike, and a V4 newer than the original Tuono I rode, but for now I wouldn't trade my setup for any other bike in the world. It's the perfect displacement to give you more than you really ever need, and that's such a luxurious and empowering feeling...

I love torque. I built a (don't laugh) a turbo Volvo 240 2.1 liter. Maybe 200 hp, but she had a mountain (well...) of torque at 3k RPM that made driving so much fun. My current BMW 325 in comparison (185 hp), demands to be revved. Which it is happy to do. But requires more effort.

One of my favorite features of the 1300 is that she's easy to ride. And chicks dig it of course...

Yeah, those Volvos were not lazy down low even stock. I've seen a few modded ones that are crazy. That's what I love about the 'Busa...that linear rush of torque from the bottom that is so addictive. :D

Where (are) these chicks you speak of?

KO Lightning is unknown to me but anything is better than stock.
I also appreciate more HP on the lower side of the RPM scale.
Who runs the bike up to the redline anyway while putting around town? I want more oomph from a green light.

My uncle had two 240 Turbos when I was a kid! A silver wagon and a blue two door. I loved those cars.

All I could read on that post was yoshi. lol, so, what model are they and are they for sale?
Edit: nevermind, looks like you have a full exhaust, not dual mufflers.

They are Yoshimura Hepta Force Titanium Blu slip-ons. :)

EDIT: They are not for sale, but I wouldn't refuse an offer that's fair both to the buyer and me.
