cut forks or triple clamp?

i bought myself an 07 busa for christmas when i was home visiting and i'm going to be home soon and first on my list is lowering my bike.

my question is why are so many people going with top clamps to lower there bikes when it's 150-200 bucks to have your forks lowered/cut internally? i understand that down time is a deal killer for some people, but it's not really a problem for me to wait a week or two.

i plan to keep the bike as a street bike, but i dont need it for the twisties. what can i have done to my forks to get the bike lower and help on the launch. i understand lowering forks internally, but is it safe to start limiting travel if i'm still to ride the bike on the street? Or should i skip all that and just buy a clamp?

any thoughts or experiences from people that ride on the street with cut forks?

I would get lowering tree if mostly street bike unless you like the more rigid ride..

Get the lowering tree because if you change your mind after you cut the forks you will need new forks.
