Today my 79 YO Dad goes back into the hosptial to attempt his pacemaker install for the 2nd time. Some may rememember my previous thread about his heart surgery (stent) and pacemaker install. Well, the wound around the pacemaker became infected, and they had to take it out. He's waited about 6 weeks to heal; now today they are going to put it back in (on the other side of his chest). I will be staying with him tonight until they release him tomorrow.

I told him we could save a lot of money if we just went down to Walmart, got a dog training collar and strapped it around his leg...he got a kick out of that.

Would appreciate whatever .org best wishes out there.

His name is Roy.

best wishes to Roy, u and ur family....at 79 yrs old if he laughs at jokes like that during what hes goin thru then his good spirits speak for who he is......hang on and stay with him, the care and backing of a son will make him stronger 10 fold.

You and your family are in my prayers. Sounds like Roy is a pretty tough cookie... relax :)

Good luck today to your Dad and prayers for a smooth surgery and steady hands of the docs. :) Dog collar you say.... hmmmmmm....

Roy - You're in good hands with your son by your side. He's a good peep.

Will be thinking about you tonight.

Good luck on the surgery. Thoughts and prayers go out to your family.
