Ok, today while pickin' my lid up at CycleGear I looked at some gloves and other stuff as well. I found a pair of Dainese "Fire Starter" race gloves. I tried them on and oooooooooooh my Gooooooooooooooood they were the most comfortable, best fitting ridin' gloves I've ever slid onto my hands! I'm thinkin' about pickin' some up but I wanted to see if I could get any feedback on Dainese gear.

I already know that Dainese wraps one of the fastest asses in the world... Rossi. What I wanna know is have any of you used any of their stuff, especially these gloves, on the street? If so, gimme yer feedback on it. Unless I can find somethin' negative about 'em I plan on pickin' a pair up in the next few weeks.

I know alot of folks ride with that gear out here but as far as durability and comfort I cannot say. Let us know how they work for you.

I'm sure their gear is great, but so damn expensive. I cant justify spending $800 on a jacket when you can spend $400 on a comparable company that is just as good.

But hell maybe you get what you pay for i dont know.

I agree with you on that one beastie-boy. You basically are paying for the name and the fact that their leathers can be custom-made to fit. I still don't get it though. I guess they have special cows flown in from Italy or some shiite like that...

The Fire Starters are $129/pair at CycleGear, which means that I can prolly get 'em online somewhere else for around $110 or so... That's definitely not high end in race glove prices...

No one from over here wears Dainese...but from my collation of gear reviews, Dainese is definitely top-knotch. I would love to put my girl into a pair of those, but I think I'd have to pimp myself out nightly to afford 'em.

$129 definitely doesn't sound too bad at all for that particular brand. Looks like I'll be getting the wifey a pair of those instead of those JR gloves I had intended.

Go for it, bro!

I ride with a Dainese jacket. Sorry bro, don't know the type! It is an upgrade from the fieldsheer, which I really liked! It does have a backwards zipper though! Stinkin europeans!!

Thanks for the feedback. So far I've gotten only positive feedback on their stuff... regarding everything but PRICE!

BT,Dainese makes excellent gear, however they are on the pricey side and their customer service is all but non- existent. Bought their Talos 4 jacket shortly after U bought the busa and discovered that the back pad or back armour was not there, called the dealer up and they said its was extra!!!!!! wtf?

? Most of the other companies such as AGV, Alpine Stars, and most every one else includes the back pad. I have a friend here that wheres the gloves and he swears by them, for me, once a company gets the big head and tells me they dont need my business, well then.....I'll stick with American based companies, even though most of the products are made in ASIA! LOL.

Thanks for the input. Hadn't thought about customer service... Maybe I should just stick with the Teknic gloves I was lookin' to get...
