damper mod and cold weather

Just moving my bike in the garage today, its a good 5 degrees outside. I noticed something wierd, after doing the damper mod this summer with 80/130w oil it worked great no air gaps or spongy spots. Really work out real smooth. Not sure because the cold or just sitting about 2 months now the damper is extremely stiff but the first push on the bars it has no pressure, like no fluid at all then almost feels to hard. That just cause it being so cold or do i need to redo the mod in this temp?

it has an air bubble in it.. I changed mine to 15-40 synthetic oil

kinda the way i was thinking but why would it work fine all summer and just start acting up when so cold? The oil that much thicker in summer to fill the gap?

the thicker oil likely held the air bubble in suspension longer and so it got to the valving.
