Took my bike the the LA dealer for 108, 109, and they cant start the bike after the
mods. The fuel pump is working but the bike wont run. The dealer has four techs
tearing into my bussa to see "what's wrong" -Help-

Doesn't sound good, if they only messed with the fuel pump. You would think being so close to the Homebase Suzuki in Brea, they cant't send a real tech out.

Duc, time to call the Customer Service line and be heard!

108 and 109 are a lot more complex than they seem. If the dealer used the bulletins to train juniors, oh oh.

Suggest to them they look at Velociraptor's fix under topic "Alert for minor fuel pump problem." Could be that o-ring preventing fuel delivery.

Took my dealership's senior rice rocket mechanic 3 hours to do that fix.

Hope things work out FAST for you.

Whats Worng?
Motorcycles today are comparable in technology to an F1 car.

Do you see McLaren or any of those the other teams letting the idiots you find as motorcycle mechanics work on their cars.
I didnt think so.

DP i bet you doubleposted only to prevent Kawabuser from coming to near you in total number of posts......

Unfortunately TurboTim the dealers have you over a barrel on this.

It doesn't matter if you've got the Yosh lab at your beck and call. The dealer does the work or you don't get the parts.

Sagge...are you saying KawAbuser's on my tail? Can't I get him a 1 lap penalty for freelance bartending or something?!

Help me out here...

I fully understand the process, I was just poking fun at the dealerships that always seem to give me a headache no matter what type of bike I own.

That's a sad tale, Ducmanic. Hope you get it back in time for your Saturday gathering. Nice meeting you last week.

My screw up by the dealer tech after the fuel filter change was that he forgot to put back one of vaccum hose that go to the air box.The hose was near the fuel pump.It almost dumped me of the bike when I received it back from them and I thought is was low on gas.Anyways took the gas tank up in front of the dealer after filling it up with gas and the tech came out and helped me find the problem.Maybe that is why they haven't called my back to finish up the job on the chain teninor!!!!!!

I always set my rear chain before i take my bike in-its a habit. Would'nt you know it, the Service Manager hands me a bill for twelve dollars for "Adjusting my chain", after messing my bike up for over a day- I told him to FO-
The bike is much faster though-I'll say that for the mechanic's- I guess 108, 109 cut away at your power over time-

My fix for 108-109 had a turn around of a day, and the bike ran alot better when I got it back. Talke to the tech and he was amazed it was even running with all the gunk down in the fuel pump. It hasn't cut out since, and the problems I had starting it have cleared up as well.

Well, it seems the tech blocked the fuel inlet with the o-ring, thats the story and their sticking to it. But now they remapped the EFI with a Yosh Box with out telling me.
Different bike, nothing off idle, then a nice kick and lots of rubber- I can learn to live with this but mabe a -5 for the bottom?
At least im back to bussa', and off to the lab-

Duc, I'm glad you beat me on picking up the bike the day you bought it, it was supposed to be mine, now I feel better you took it instead, heheh. Time to ride the Monster.
