Dealer Plug

Run you Busa on the Dyno the way it is.

Now put a jumper on the dealer plug and run it again.

I saw 4hp on the dyno. Anyone else tried this.

Don't say it doesn't work until you've tried it.

I'm running mine with it jumped now. Only problem is there's no clock. Only the TPS indicator.

The gain was made purely top end. The graph followed the stock graph until around 8500rpm then increased over stock to +4hp at around 9500rpm. I have a feeling the dealer plug advances the ignition slightly, hence the change in the idle. Although this plug should not affect the ignition timing.

Note, a Suzuki Australia technitian was present during the dyno and he was baffled. He even took away a copy of the dyno graph to Suzuki.

This is not a mythical pink wire solution. Its just something I tried on the dyno.

The dealer plug is the connector with two wires located on the left side of your bike just behind the riders seat. When you get the bike serviced the dealer will jump the two terminals and check the bike for any error codes. It also allows adjustment of the TPS.

Do not mistake it with the multi-pin connector next to it. This is the terminal that you can use to re-map the fuel system with a yosh box or similar.

This is an interesting observation. Any ideas what might be taking place simply by adding the jumper that would bring an extra 4 hp?! I think I could live without a clock but would prefer to see some verification on a U.S. model first. I also wonder if the error codes would still be available if triggered?

Hayabusa--Maybe it takes the "pink wire" out of the loop. No gear feed back?
I don't know. But, I swear that mine idled at a higher rpm when jumpered. When I removed the jumper I had to readjust the idle. Probably just seemed like it, but i will now try this on the Dyno next week unless there is some other concern in doing so.
Where did the four hp show up rpmwise?

I would be cautious about running the bike like that. It reminds me of the pink wire that, according to Suzuki, could lead to bad things happening to pistons. I have had to readjust the TPS but my bike still seems a little sluggish in lower rev range(2-4K). Tried to get the front up at 5K in 1st yesterday and the lift wasn't there-but I had just filled the tank so there was a lot more weight up front. Still runs like a bullet above 5K. I may need to balance the throttle bodies-still waiting for my manual.
