So, at 2:30 in the vid, the dude passes a white car, at what looks like a blind turn. Was I wrong? I know I made a BIG boo-boo when Kevin was following me and passed at a blind turn, taught me something (no wreck, but Kevin was nice enough to point out my move...). What do you people think?

The only problem with a video taken from one stationary position, such as straight forward on a motorcycle, is that it is impossible to gauge how much the rider could actually see in any direction other than were the camera is pointed. Did the pass look questionable, sure, but was it worth bashing the guy??? Who knows???

The rider could have seen far enough into the turn. Not a definate no no.

Of course its really hard to tell since they sped up the video

What comment was made??

I have to admit I'd be pissed if that cat was lane sharing in a corner with me and I had no idea who he was.

But thats why I don't ride the Gap.

I'm sure Vman would recognize the turn when he sees this vid, Maybe he can tell better. From what I could tell and remember, it's a definite blind turn.

When you are riding twisties some of the BLIND corners you can see through them a turn or two before you get to it...if traffic is light it may not be TOO unsafe to pass.

That pass falls in the "why push a pass catagory". With the leaves on the trees, you cannot see far enough up the road to be 100% sure there is not another vehicle coming. I reconize the corner but cant remember the name without getting out a map lol. I spend way to much time there.

I do pass at the Gap and will continue to go there. If I had of witnessed this type of riding, I would have said something to the rider.

Plus from the number of bikes at the CROT, the time of day looks to be noon-ish to 4pm, way to late or way to early for a spirited pass up the Gap.

Cool, so I can feel semi justified in my comment... I don't feel like an azzhat anymore.

Keep in mind, none of us were there, but judging from the vid, IMO, I would have waited.

I cannot judge the riding habits of others unless I witness them 1st hand.

If I see a bad or mis-timed pass, I normally will speak up, even if I do not know the rider.
