decals on 08

I havent been able to get out to see one in person yet so I have to ask . are the decals and stripes on the 08 under the clear coat ? or laid on top ? from pictures I have seen it looks like it could be either ...

Ones on the tank are under the clear coat all the other decals will peel right off no problem.

The ones on the fairing are baisically two decals the lowest one contains the Kanji and some of the strips the top one is just a single stripe. So if you wanted to remove the kanji but not the stripes it would be difficult or vice versa.

what I would like to do is remove all badging and striped ALL just have the painted color

I agree with you on the paint only option. I haven't stripped mine yet, but it will happen soon. The stickers look cheesy on such a beautiful paint job.

WHATS HAPPEN IM KINDA NEW TO BUSA.ORG BUT I HAVE THE 08 ORANGE AND BLACK FIRST THING I DID WAS LOOKS GREAT REAL EASY HEAT GUN OR A GOOD BLOW DRIER WILL WORK USE RUBBING ALCHOL TO TAKE THE GLUE OFF YOUR FAIRINGS BE REAL CAREFULL WHAT KIND OF TOWEL YOU USE THE BLACK SCRATCHS VERY EASY
