Remove the fairings and the header, unbolt the pan and it's off.
And your signature is awesome:rofl::rofl:

Just drop the exhaust...4k and it needs a new gasket ???

What's the story on that one?

from dudes thread
So I took my friend bike up there to have the oil changed on it it only has about 4,000 Mi on the bike. My friend said he lost the washer on the oil drain plug so it has a little oil leak & it only cost a dollar to replace please have them replace it. I get a call from a mechanic saying he needs to talk to me, I call him back & he said I have it taken apart & I think your oil might be leaking by the sproket but I really think its the oil pan gasket.
the true owner has als disease and this guy is like a long term caretaker of this scooter.
he should be happy it's not much more than an exhaust drop, if in fact it is the pan.
thanks

Before they pull the pan...have them clean up the area near the front sprocket...a build up of chain lube can run down a hot engine and look like a engine oil leak.

Busa's just don't leak like a Hardley Abelson ya know.

indeed, i've had 3 of them i out over 100k on, and am familiar with the buildup you're referring to.

Re: defective oill pan gaskets? how hard a fix UPDATE

they cleaned the area for home dude at the stealership:
Yup its the oil pan gasket, not leaking too much about 3 or 4 drops on the ground after letting sit over ight. I still cant tell if the gasket above the sproket is leaking but not a lot of oil on the ground. They quoted me abot $200 to fix the oil pan gasket & about $200 to fix the gaskets above the sproket. I will try & take a good picture to send to you.
???

Are they sure it is engine oil?

Clutch slave cylinder is near there...and they do leak sometimes.
