Has anyone degreed in there cams???
Whay lobe centers did you use??
Falicon makes adjustable cam sprockets for the busa for $175.
for now they are the only game in town ...I think

turbo rick:..> cam setting will very from what your wanting to do. if i setup my bike for me then it's doing what i want it to,if anyone else on these boards climbed on my bike you'll see a differant performance from it..cams need to be setup to what your riding style is and what you wanting your bike to do..if you know just what your trying to do maybe i can help. but you can't go off another guy's setup..

Frank I'm doing top speed runs (Bonneville)
so I need horsepower up high.
Also who is making cams and is anyone using them yet if so how about some dyno figures??
I talked to yosh and the 96 TO 99 SRAD 750 cam sprockets will work on the busa PART# suxr 1201 retail is $160 a set.

It looks like there might be room for improvement with cam timming.
The stock Busa is supose to have 106 IN and 99.5 EX lobe centers. The intake seem ok but the exahast seems to me to be to low I will try to open that up a bit and see.

rick, you'll shorten up your power ban. but you'll have more punch when the cams do start to work. make sure you check your valve clerance before you make any changes!

I am waiting for the prototype testing, taking place now, for the Yosh Stage 1 cams. Yosh says that they should be available in December, Merry Christmas.
You should be able to use stock pistons, but will require remap and exhaust. I am trying to get the preliminary specs now. Yosh will go through the proper research.

Frank web cam say's that they have only made one set of cams for the busa and it wasn't for your bike.
I would ask jessy again what cams he is putting in your motor.
Kinda like the JE pistons that JE didn't make???

Turbo Rick

for those of you that must know.....
i've had people like john noonan from je and other suppliers inquire about my bike.
the pistons are je molded "not machined but molded". i have three set of pistons of which two are je. a set that is flat top and two sets that are dome for later prodjects.
they are finished and ready for use!
i don't care what web tells everybody about the way they do business. i know for a fact that they came from web because i was there when the ups woman droped the box they came in labeled web with thier shipping address on it. now if i were cutting and grinding some damn cam's i sure the hell wouldn't put them in somebody elses box.

the pistons were not a production piston but a piston made to fit the package.
hell we all know that in the first part of MAY, nobody was making anything for the inside of the busa motor. i don't understand why all the concern about whats inside my bike.
when you see the dependability and the times the bike runs i would think that you would hope that your parts were in there....

why do you want to knock my bike and the guy that is building it?
what kind of prodject are you doing to take the next step with the busa motor?

you may have some differance of opinions about jesse but thats something you should be a man about and call him up to resolve them.

i've got nothing for a guy that puts down what another does unless he's doing something better.

and if he's a nobody then why does he have numerous mag articals and world records from the stuff that he's done? there hanging right there on the walls in his shop.

my opinion about the man is already made and nobody is going to change that *turbo rick*

frank first of all I don't personally have a problem with Jesse just people I know have
and I didn't want to see you be one of those people.
as far as all the other stuff cool down dude... did I put down your bike??

There are allot of snakes in the motocycle industry be careful

Turbo Rick

you got it kevin....we had my cam's built there and now they're selling to the aftermarket.
thats ok..because the grind and lift we had done will be just fine for the stock motor also.
don't ever let anybody tell you that you need a big ratical cam in your busa.
the way these motor are set up you don't need something with alot of lift or duration in it...
that web cam they have now is just fine fine for all applications...

From what I can tell you guys (Frank & TurboRIck) are comming from two different worlds, Frank does the 1/4 thing, Rick is a top speed freak. I doublt the bike Frank is riding would hold up under the extreme conditions where Rick rides (ride a top-fuel on the street and watch it go bang). On the other han Rick's bike may not be the best for the strip.

Ease off guys, you both are doing great things for the busa.
